The Costa Blanca Bike Race has become a classic in the international mountainbike competition scene. A place where the though trails of the Costa Blanca are chosen for the first race of the UCI calendar within the UCI S2 Category. Polish CX champion Basia Borowiecka and Belgian mountainbiker Jasper Lefevre have teamed up in the mixed category and finished as winners of the UCI S2 XCS. A remarkable victory, given that Jasper Lefevre could also win the last edition in 2021 in the mixed team category, together with Ilda Pereira.
The Costa Blanca is less known for its excellent network of MTB tracks. But just off the coast lies a wealth of trails with different levels of difficulty. In just eight editions the Costa Blanca Bike Race has managed to open a gap amongst the best UCI mountainbike races. From January 27 to January 30 2022 the challenging multi-stage race was there to set the condition on point.
As a mixed team, Basia Borowiecka and Jasper Lefevre have conquered the hardness and beauty of all stages. And finished the CBBR 2022 as winners of the UCI S2 XCS.
The Costa Blanca Bike Race is known as a 4-day race in which you compete in stages, but for those who can't ride that many days, there is the possibility of participating and competing only 2 stages, Saturday and Sunday. And if you can't make it as a duo team, there is also the option to participate individual.
